Marketing on Instagram already involves strategy, timing, and perseverance, so why not consider making the process a little easier on yourself? By switching your personal Instagram account to a business account you can schedule and promote posts, advertise, and discover your individual Instagram analytics (all without losing a single established follower or post!)
If this sounds too good to be true, I’m here to tell you for once it isn’t. Now let’s go over the steps to upping your Instagram marketing game.
What Exactly is Made Possible with a Business Account?
As of January 30, 2018 Instagram has made it possible to use third-party sources to enable scheduled Instagram posts. This is huge because it allows you to not be tied up with manually posting throughout your day. It also comes with a few more perks.
With a smart scheduler, such as Later, Tailwind or HootSuite, to name a few, you will also be provided with some very useful tools. The programs will post for you only when the timing is absolutely right and your post will receive the most engagement.
Instagram schedulers will help you market more effectively and with less effort than doing it yourself. Don’t forget – you can only use an Instagram scheduler program if you have a business account.
Another tool at your disposal only with a business account is Instagram Insights, an analytics tool that offers up some pretty impressive knowledge. With Insights, you can find out who your followers are which will help you in deciding on a successful marketing angle.
You will learn the average age, location, and sex of your followers along with what posts and stories are getting the most engagement from them. You can find out both what your total account performance is along with individual posts.
Along with access to these tools, you will also be able to promote your own posts. All you will have to do is simply tap the Promote button on your profile and then follow the prompts! Easy peasy.
And the fun doesn’t stop there.
With an Instagram business account you will also be able to provide multiple links on your profile, rather than the standard one. Information such as your business’ phone number will become a functioning button, rather than just text. This will allow followers to just click the button and they’re calling you.
If you’re still not convinced, maybe some statistics will help. Over 25 million businesses have made the change to an Instagram Business Account and there’s no signs of slowing. 200 million Instagram users say that they visit one Business Profile daily and 60% say they discover new products on Instagram. If you feel motivated now to make the change – let’s begin!
